Are your security personnel in a good head space?

We have collectively been through a pandemic, watched riots & protests break out and dealt with a tense political scene. It can take a toll on anyone’s mental health and that includes security personnel. Behavioral psychologist Michael Corcoran says now more than ever, it’s a good idea to check in with not only the people providing security, but also the employers hiring them.  The goal is to make sure everyone is in a mentally healthy space to be on point.

Security’s Primary Service: The Road to Comfort

road to comfortHow prophetic of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, during his inaugural address in 1933, when he uttered those famous words, “So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance…” While the context at the time was far different than our experiences today, these words aptly describe how workers are feeling in 2019. We Cannot Forget the Importance of Operational Security

Being able to share information instantly with just a push of a button, the click on the keyboard, or in casual conversation, it’s easy to forget the importance of maintaining operational security for an EP assignment. Security Changes on the Las Vegas Strip – FOX 5 Interview

Last week I interviewed with FOX5 in Las Vegas and was asked about changes in security on the Vegas Strip.
