RICH MASON

A 20-year veteran at technology titans including AT&T, Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, and Honeywell International, Rich Mason possesses deep expertise as a cybersecurity consultant working in physical security within the connected product (‘Internet of things’) environment. He served for 5 years as Honeywell’s Global Vice President and Chief Security Officer and was Honeywell’s first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with enterprise cybersecurity responsibility the 5 years prior to that.

Honeywell is a Fortune 100 conglomerate with a market cap of over $100B and 130,000 employees in 120 countries. During his tenure as CSO, Honeywell Global Security earned a #1 ranking in the Industrial and Manufacturing sector as judged by Security Magazine. Mason’s team was featured in the Security 500 Report in an article entitled ‘The Predictive Revolution’.

Mason is a former member of the Secret Service New York Electronic Crimes Task Force (NYECTF), a graduate of the FBI Executive Academy in Quantico, and a former member of the FBI National Security Business Alliance Council (NSBAC) and Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC). He has conducted hundreds of sensitive and technically complex insider threat and criminal investigations and has instructed numerous government and military agents on advanced computer forensics tools, investigative techniques, and countermeasures.

An Alumni with honors from Michigan State University, Mason received his Criminal Justice bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Security Management. He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®), is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Chemical Vulnerability Information (CVI) certified, and is a graduate of Honeywell’s Executive Development Program (EDP).
